There are 240 rooms and some bungalows at Kumgangsan Hotel. All rooms are clean, simple and equipped with all the necessary amenities such as air conditioning and heating system, television, comfortable beds, electric kettle, tea/coffee making facilities, ensuring a comfortable stay for you. However, there are problems with the electricity and sometimes the bathrooms only have cold water.
Kumgangsan Hotel also houses a shop, a dance and karaoke room, bars and a bathhouse with geothermal water. About 500 meters from the hotel is the Kumgangsan Spa which offers different kinds of massages, like foot and body massages as well as public/private baths. For the spa you need to pay an entrance fee and of course a separate fee is you want a private bath and/or massage. In 2008 the relations between the North and South deteriorated and the holidays stopped as a South Korean tourist was shot dead when - according to the North Korean government - she entered a military area.
At Asia Senses Travel we’re adventurers at heart. Our journeys are all about discovering new places and cultures while creating unforgettable memories through physical activity and breathtaking scenery.
