Situated high on the banks of the scenic, peaceful and tranquil Nam Ou river, the delightful Mandala Ou Resort has a collection of 10 detached bungalows which are fantastic base for trekking to virgin rainforest and karst limestone cliffs, kayaking and cycling to surrounding areas in Nong Khiaw. This region is home to numerous hill-tribe villages, such as Khamu and Hmong, making it a fascinating introduction to northern Laos and its distinctive culture.
Mandala Ou Resort was completely revised in late 2013. It has 10 spacious clean and comfortable detached bungalows that are tastefully decorated with brightly coloured fabrics, well designed with traditional Laos style and modern conveniences. Of these, 06 rooms face directly onto Nam Ou river and 4 look over the beautiful garden and pond. Resort is ideal for outdoorsy couples and adventurous families who need a clean and comfortable room to rest after a day of adventurous activities.
At the edge of the Mandala Ou Resort is a cool contemporary swimming pool, the only one in Nong Khiaw, which looks down upon the Nam Ou river and luminous jungle greenery. The resort also has an herbal sauna, which is perfect for the cooler winter nights. If you're seeking a chance to get spiritual, there’s even Mandala Ou’s yoga studio. The resort’s restaurant serves a wide selection of home cooked Laos, Thai and Western dishes, and the poolside bar is the perfect place to unwind after a day in the mountains.
