Ryonggang Hot Spa Resort is a former government guesthouse now open to foreign tourists. It consists seven villas with 20 spacious, well equipped rooms. The villas are spread out in the sprawling grounds. Each room has its own private mineral spa which apparently supply piping hot mineral water. The water comes directly from the waterbed beneath the ground and has countless health benefits. It is the richest in mineral matters among the spas of North Korea. You can take the waters for a maximum of 15 minutes a time.
Ryonggang Hot Spa Houses offers a wide selection of leisure facilities such a pool room, table tennis room and Karaoke rooms. Tennis court and night time activities include billiards, ping-pong and video shooting game are also available at the resort's entertainment center. In the free time, you can walk along the trails and a pond where some of the staff enjoy fishing. You can find the western drinks, chocolates and other snack foods at the hotel's restaurant. After a long day of travel in North Korea, it is a great idea to sample barbecued clam and oysters with cool beer.
