This resort is a cosy tranquil lodge combining traditional style with contemporary luxury.
Sepilok Nature Resort has 45 air conditioned rooms and 15 fan rooms ranging from dormitory to deluxe with balcony, offering beautiful lake or jungle views. Like much of the accommodation in Borneo, the rooms at this resort are fairly basic. Interiors have hardwood floors, a high beamed ceiling, comfortable beds with cotton linens, and private baths come with shower/bathtub combination. Room's amenities include cable/satellite channel TV, minibar, electric kettle and coffee/tea making facilities. There are two duplex bungalows, which have a slightly more polished design, with a bedroom downstairs and living room upstairs.
Being so close to The Orangutan Sanctuary, guests at Sepilok Nature Resort are able to visit easily, increasing the chance of seeing orangutans throughout the day. You can take part in early morning hikes and a night walks to spot nocturnal wildlife in the grounds of the sanctuary such as nest orangutans, slow loris and tarsiers if lucky. There are not many facilities at this resort, you can sit under a covered terrace or out in the open-air, relax on the sunbeds. Cuisine is a fusion of local and western food, you can watch the beautiful views of forest and lake while enjoying your meal.
