Located in Janakpuri, a quieter suburb in West Delhi, Shanti Home is a stylish mid-range hotel, providing comfortable accommodation with high standard facilities and excellent personal service. Shanti in many languages in India means "Peace" (more specifically - peace of mind).
Shanti Home has 17 beautifully appointed rooms, equipped with air conditioning, flat screen TV, electronic safe and minibar. Each room has its own theme and has been tastefully styled with touches of India: Oh Calcutta features lithographs of the city, Bhuj has an elaborately carved Gujarati wood panel, Bombay Masala has framed Bollywood film posters on the wall, a gold-plated elephant headdress hangs in the Backwaters, while a Raj-era fan complements a carved wooden mirror in Jaisalmer. The rooms are a good size and are clean and comfortable.
Shanti Home is conveniently located for the airport and does have a nearby metro station if you are keen to explore independently. Breakfast is a simple affair but in the evening the tandoor oven is fired up and a variety of delicious fresh dishes is served in the Lantern Terrace Garden, the rooftop restaurant. Recreational facilities include a fitness centre, a spa and wellness centre and a reading lounge. Cookery classes conducted daily between 3 – 7 pm, under the guideline of the hotel chef. Other services offered include concierge, laundry, dry cleaning, currency exchange, luggage storage, Wi-Fi and business centre.
