Windermere Estate offers guests 18 individually-styled rooms which are divided into 3 types of rooms: Garden Room, Estate Room, and Planters Room. There are 04 Garden rooms set in verdant gardens, offering stunning views of the Chithirapuram valley below, 06 Estate Rooms which are equipped with king size beds and spacious bathrooms and 08 Planters Room with their gorgeous French windows feature private balconies, boasting beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. There’s no unnecessary clutter or frivolous frills – all rooms are spotlessly clean with crisp white linen, tea and coffee making facilities and a good chair by the window for curling up in to watch sunrise.
At Windermere Estate, there is daily 4km/2-hour guided walks through the soaring evergreen forests of their plantation to the Attukadu Waterfall. On route, you will have chance to spot elephants, mongoose, barking deer, giant squirrel and a variety of birdlife. You can also take a visit to the Tea Museum, where pictures, machinery, tea-brewing equipment and literature outline the history of production in this region over the last century and many attractions in Munar. In free time, you can take a dip in the pool with the best view in the world, or cozying up with a book in the quiet library. A range of continental, Oriental and Indian cuisine is on offer at the Windermere Estate’s restaurants, with delicious delicacies handed down through generations of Syrian Christian Malayali cooks. While sandwiches, authentic Keralan curries and desserts are available at the Tea Hut.
