At Asia Senses Travel we’re adventurers at heart. Our journeys are all about discovering new places and cultures while creating unforgettable memories through physical activity and breathtaking scenery.
Sengkang is a small yet traffic-clogged town with a nearby scenic lake and a traditional hand-woven silk industry. It's a convenient place to break the journey between Rantepao and Pantai Bira (Bira Beach), and you'll find several decent hotels and guesthouses in town. The Buginese ethnic group, known for their crossing to other islands as traders of silk, sarongs and other material, populates this area. Majority population of Sengkang is Muslim.
