Move to the Central of Vietnam to see the modern and ancient history at Hue and Hoi An’s remarkable monuments. From here, head north for Hanoi, Vietnam’s vibrant capital, and the World Heritage Site of Halong Bay, where you’ll take a traditional sailing junk boat in the breathtaking Gulf of Tonkin.

DAY 01: HO CHI MINH CITY
Arrival in HO CHI MINH CITY, you will be welcomed and transferred by your Asia Senses tour guide and driver to your hotel for check in. Depend on your actual arrival time, some soft sightseeing for an orientation tour is suggested.
In the evening, free to stroll through Bui Vien or Pham Ngu Lao night streets and look for yourself tasty noodles, snacks and breads. Those places are great spots to sample all wonderful foods in HCMC and indulge yourself in cozy pubs. Such a nice start for your vacation in Vietnam.
Begin your Best of Vietnam Tour today with a short drive to Mekong Delta region, one of the best experiences that only do you find in best tours in Vietnam. Our guide and driver will pick you up at hotel lobby then provide a 2-hour transfer to MY THO. Along the way, watch variety scenery and peaceful daily life in rural area of Mekong Delta. Observe daily activities of local people along the river, sellers and buyers bargaining, exchanging fish, the products that they got from their working on the river.
Upon arrival, board a motor boat around Phoenix Island, Turtle Island, Dragon Island and the last stop is Unicorn Island. There is a chance to take a short trek and go for a rowing boat trip. Enjoy your lunch with Vietnamese traditional dishes and tropical fruit. After lunch, spend the last minutes to cycle around rural villages on the island with your guide.
From the Unicorn Island, our cruise will head to BEN TRE to visit the handmade pop rice, rice paper and coconut candy workshops. After that, you will be transferred to a small boat and travel along the lush, green canals that are so beautiful for photography. At the end of tour, we drive back Ho Chi Minh City (2 hours). Relax at the hotel.
Start the morning by discovering some of the historical landmarks of Ho Chi Minh City. Our first destination is Reunification Palace (or the former Presidential Palace) which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975. From here, visit other French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Saigon Post Office, Saigon Opera House. They were built in period of French colonial in Vietnam (1887-1945). Lunch break at a local restaurant.
After lunch, continue your city tour with a visit to the Binh Tay Market in the Chinatown district, to discover the area’s markets, shops, followed by a visit to the Cantonese Thien Hau Pagoda. Proceed to visit the Museum of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine - Vietnam's first traditional medicine museum, with an stunning collection of 3,000 items relevant to the development of traditional Vietnamese medicine. Implements used to prepare indigenous herbs, and objects commonly found in traditional pharmacies can be seen in the ancient books and documents as well as galleries on traditional Vietnamese medicine.
Return to the city centre to visit the Ben Thanh Market where an incredible display of fresh produce is offered. Enjoy a stroll through the market exploring the variety of goods for sale.
In the evening, you will be transferred back to the Tan Son Nhat Airport for domestic flight to DA NANG. Our local guide in Da Nang will be awaiting to pick you up and transfer you to hotel in Hoi An Old Quarter for check in.
Begin today with a walking tour of Hoi An Old Quarter. Our first destination is iconic 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge. There is a small temple attached to one side as a prominent example of Japanese architecture. Next, head to Ong Temple which was built in 1653 by Chinese settlers to worship Guan Yu, an ancient Chinese general whose character stands for loyalty, bravery and justice.
Museum of Trade Ceramics is our next destinations. It is an elegant Vietnamese style wooden house which was built in 1858 showcasing antique ceramic artifacts. Then we will visit the 200-year-old Tan Ky House which was the residence of a Chinese merchant in the part. There is also an opportunity to visit the private home of Diep Dong Nguyen which owns and displays a fascinating collection of artifacts ranging from pottery and paintings to seals and money.
The remainder of the day, you can wander then explore the rest of the ancient city, the colorful market with stalls brimming with tropical specialties including silk, which can be turned into fashionable garments within a day.
This morning, you will be transferred back to the Da Nang Airport for your flight to HANOI. On arrival, our local guide will be awaiting to transfer you to city center.
After hotel check in, pay a visit to the Imperial Citadel, an intriguing relic of Vietnam’s history and, signifying its historical and cultural importance, was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010. Also known as the Hanoi Citadel, many artefacts and items dating back to between the 6th and 20th centuries were excavated in 2004, including foundations of old palaces, ancient roads, ponds and wells. Lunch will be served at KOTO Restaurant where the staff is former street children being trained in culinary and hospitality skills.
In the afternoon, visit Hoa Lo Prison, also known as ‘Hanoi Hilton’. The prison functioned as the base to keep Vietnamese revolutionaries and soldiers and American POW during the Vietnam War. Continue to visit Hoan Kiem then explore Ngoc Son Temple, which is dedicated to the 13th century national hero Tran Hung Dao, standing along the lake’s edge at the center of Jade Island. The visit itself is a good opportunity for you to learn about Vietnam history and culture.
Afterwards, jump on a one hour cyclo ride around the 36 ancient streets of the Hanoi Old Quarter to learn more about the life of Hanoian. Wrap up your day at Bong Sen Opera Theatre for a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show, a typical northern Vietnamese art form.
After breakfast, begin the exploration in Hanoi with a chance to sample the fresh aroma of Vietnamese coffee, filled with rich dark roast that fills you with flavorful energy for the whole day. Follow your guide then get brimmed with excitement, from the floral scents of the Hang Da Market to the opulent architecture that acts as a reminder of the French Colonial past.
Stop at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex, which houses the embalmed body of the communist leader in a glass coffin then the wooden stilt house where the president Ho Chi Minh resided in his later years. Nearby you can see the One Pillar Pagoda, founded by fatherless King Ly Thai Tong in 1049 and Temple of Literature, the Vietnam’s first university.
NOTE: Sites in the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex are viewed from outside; closed on Mon and Fri and from October - November.
After lunch, follow your guide to the 11th century Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hanoi’s oldest Buddhist temple, originally built in the sixth century, and the Taoist Quan Thanh Temple. Rest of the day is free at leisure.
Today, you will be transferred to HALONG BAY, which is about 160 km (3.5-hour drive away). On the way, you will see some rural areas with plenty of chances to take photos of Vietnamese farmers working in paddy fields. Stop half way to visit a handicraft workshop of fine clothes and embroidered paintings. On arrival at the dock around mid-noon, check in aboard the Halong Bay cruise. A sumptuous local seafood lunch will be served as you cruise this spectacular bay.
After lunch, visit some of the famous attractions of Halong Bay including: Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, Sail Island, especially a visit to Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave. There is also a chance to stop at Ti Top Mountain, where you will climb to the top for a stunning panoramic view of Halong Bay. Return to your boat then enjoy the bay view at sunset. Dinner will be served on board.

Wake up early and refresh your body and mind with a Tai Chi exercise on the sundeck. Have breakfast onboard while continue watching the stunning views of Halong Bay. There will be an opportunity for you to do kayaking and swim or access some of the sites inaccessible by the larger boats, including a cave. Early lunch (brunch) will be serviced onboard before the cruise arrives back at the dock.
Return to Hanoi by private car. From here, you will be transferred directly to the airport for your onwards flight.
