Depart Nyaungshwe Town, then embark on a boat trip to a small village named
Sagar located at the far south of Inle Lake. At the village, explore 108 stupas from the 16-17th centuries then see an ancient monastery, panoramic views and friendly local people. Have lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, we continue our journey to
PEKON. Admire the picturesque scenery of the Shan mountains and valleys flanking the tranquil waters on boat side of this lake. It would be a memorial experience for you to explore unspoiled villages and beautiful nature, this is the ‘real’ Inle Lake that few tourists rarely get to see.
On arrival at Pekon pier, our driver will pick up then transfer you to
LOIKAW, the capital of Kayah State and the focus of this Loikaw trekking tour. It takes one and half hour to drive from Pekon to Loikaw.
Check in guesthouse in Loikaw and have a short break. Then visit the
Kayan Museum to have a better understanding about custom of Kayan people. In the late afternoon, climb up
Thiri Mingalar Taung Kwe Zedi, a famous religious landmark which built on a hillock overlooking the vast expanse of the environs. You can watch desolately at the pilgrims and enjoy the marvelous landscape, panoramic view of Loikaw and its surroundings at sunset time.
