Our Asia Senses representative will come to pick up you at your hotel in Yangon/Mandalay, then transfer to the airport to catch the domestic flight to Myitkyina. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your local guide and driver. They will provide you a transfer to your hotel for check in.
Start our Myitkyina sightseeing tour with a visit to Su Taung Pyi Pagoda, one of best well-known pagodas in Myitkyina. In the pagoda, you will see Shwe Thar Lyaung Buddha, a reclining Buddha which was donated by a Japanese war veteran.
Afterward, take a 1.5 hour drive to the peaceful Myit Sone town which is 38 kilometres from Myitkyina. This town is located on the confluence of the Maykha and Malikha River where these rivers join to form the Irrawaddy River. The area is widely recognized for its ecological value and is described by prominent conservation organizations as one of the world's eight hotspots of biodiversity.
Have your lunch at a local restaurant in Myit Sone. In the afternoon, take a boat trip along the waterways while enjoying the natural beauty of these river and observing the daily life of local people.
In the late afternoon, be transferred back to Myitkyina. Overnight in Myitkyina.
