Welcome to BANGKOK, the bustling capital of Thailand. Upon arrival at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, our Asia Senses Travel tour guide will meet you at the airport and assist with a transfer to the hotel for check in.

After refreshment at the hotel, uncover the magnificent Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, then wander down the tourist mecca of Khao San Road.

Your evening Thai food tour starts at 17:00PM. From the hotel, jump in a tuk tuk for a moveable feast. During the tour, you will taste a variety of savory menus (7+ delicious food & drink tastings), including the local favorite Northeastern Thai Food (Isaan Food), Bangkok’s best Pad Thai, and the popular home-style Thai snack, and chat with street food vendors who have been serving the same dishes for more than 30 years.

Overnight in Bangkok.
MEALS
Dinner
After breakfast, take a short transfer (approximately 1.5 hour drive) to the famous Maeklong Railway Market, a most unusual market because a train passes through the market 8 times a day. Enjoy a simple breakfast of Khanom krok (rice-coconut pudding) or Kanom Gui Chai (fried Chinese chives rice cake). When the train quite literally passes through the market, shoppers take their goods inside and vendors pull back their umbrellas, open and close their stalls in a matter of seconds! Once the train is gone, all the goods go out again, the umbrellas unfold and its business continues as usual as if nothing happened.

Then visit Tha Kha Floating Markets. Walk around and check out the many stalls or take a boat tour to explore the area and there are boats serving as shops, selling food and drinks like noodles, beer, cold drinks, coconut water, corn etc. The area’s well known for coconut palm sugar production. Along the way, it is possible to stop past a riverside operation to see how it is made.

Drive further to Kanchanaburi (approximately 2 hour drive), and stop en-route at NAKHON PATHOM to witness the tallest stupa (Phra Pathom Chedi) in Thailand – 120.45 metres high. While visiting this pagoda, you can sample Khao Lam, Thailand bamboo sticky rice dessert.

After that, continue driving further to KANCHANABURI, the beautiful town surrounded by verdant jungle, waterfalls and rivers. Upon arrival, pay visits to the famous Bridge on the River Kwai, and Thailand-Burma Railway Centre Museum.

OPTIONAL: In the evening, stroll along and dine at the local night market, which is sure to get tastebuds singing.

Over night in Kanchanaburi.
MEALS
Breakfast
This morning, join a traditional Thai Cooking Class in Kanchanaburi. Start at a local fresh market to collect ingredients for the class's menu. After that, you and other students settle into a spacious and immaculate air-con kitchen to learn how to make several dishes, including a curry and a traditional Thai dessert. After the cooking course, enjoy what you have cooked. Drinking water, tropical fruits, coffee and tea are included during the meal.

In the afternoon, discover the area’s dark history with a visit to the Hellfire Pass Museum. Here, you will learn about this tragic period in human history, with a range of exhibits and touching memorials to those that suffered here. After that, take a short walk on the famous Hellfire Pass Walking Trail, where Allied POW and Asian slaves were forced cut through 18 metres deep solid rock under treacherous conditions, with little rest or food.

Then board a train ride at Nam Tok station, the main terminal of the Death Railway. The train passes over the wooden viaducts along the River Kwai and take in gorgeous views of the surrounding Kwai Gorge. You can spend a moment reflecting on those who were forced to give their lives in the process of bending this environment to man’s will.

For dinner, you may want to dine in a local restaurant which is specialized in Isan flavours found in north-eastern Thailand.

Overnight in Kanchanaburi.

Breakfast, Lunch
Wake up early this morning and travel to Ayutthaya, the second Siamese capital after Sukhothai of Siamese kingdom that existed from 1351 to 1767. In the 16th century, Ayutthaya was described by foreign traders as one of the biggest and wealthiest cities in the East. It takes approximately 3.5 hours to drive from Kanchanaburi to Ayutthaya. En route, pay a visit to the famous Summer Palace (Bang Pa In), a gorgeous palace formerly frequented by King Rama IV during the steamy summer months. It was built in very different architectural styles, some in classical Thai, some Chinese and some European design.

Upon arrival in AYUTTHAYA, take a leisurely stroll around this archaeological site to explore the crumbling pagodas and ancient temple ruins. During the visit, you can try some of the amazing dish made from centuries-old recipes and learn fascinating stories about the rise and fall of the Ayutthaya Empire. You also can make a stop at a street food stall to taste the yummy Roti Saimai and see how it's made.
